Our stories evolve over time, influenced by the people who tell them, record them, and adapt them into new forms. And as society changes, so do our stories.
But for every story that we remember, dozens more might be forgotten. How many stories have been lost to time?
In Mythomorphosis, 1-4 players will explore the relationship between a society’s history and one of its dominant cultural stories as they create and change a myth over the course of generations.
You’ll be telling—and tweaking—this story collaboratively, embodying different characters as necessary if you choose to. There is no Game Master, and no one has more ownership over the story than anyone else.
Mythomorphosis includes:
Completely new, full color layout and art
Updated and clarified rules
Rules for roleplaying scenes to show the changes in your society's myth
Support for solo play
Roll tables to get you started on society creation
Pre-generated societies complete with the story beats of a starting myth so you can start playing immediately
